I was hoping for more, given no military plan in human history has survived first contact with the enemy and we have an opportunity to at least entertain discussions where we can be more than passive.

I was attempting to discuss the possibility that not everything goes to plan in an attempt to save lives and mitigate the risk, rather than just say "good luck" and ignore the possibility.

The Q team never said, "good luck" and I see no reason why we should have that defeatist attitude in the face of possible unexpected events.
