There is definitely a mind-body connection with the overall health of mankind. Many studies have been done about this topic and the literature available is prolific.

In 1936, Dr. Hans Selye published an article in the journal Nature that described how stress induces hormonal changes in the body that over time can lead to many chronic diseases, including ulcers, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, arthritis, kidney disease and allergic reactions.

I love this one - Nicholas Cummings, a psychologist who did research at Kaiser Permanente starting in the 1960s, found that he could predict the amount of emotional distress a patient was in by the thickness of his medical chart.

A very good book published in 1938 is "Mind and Disease," by M. P. Leahy. He stresses that the mind is a factor in disease and acts sometimes by virtue of willpower or at other times by virtue of the imagination.

So, why are we not told this? Why do we not consider this? Why are we not smart enough to figure it out ourselves? It's the same old thing. Good health is never discussed. It is never presented. Sickness. That's all we hear about. Take this medication. Take this shot. Way too many people actually enjoy being sick.
