Yes, sci fi and fantasy have filled my shelves many years. Pratchett to me is like Monty Python meets CS Lewis but Lewis is atheist or something. Amazingly we can't seem to create as much as recombine, though, but the mental exercises have been great to work through. Maybe you'd enjoy the Wheel of Time series, although 15 books long, the world is rich and gathers a LOT of historical mythos, does a pretty good job of harmonizing it while spinning a great epic.
