Maybe the republicans learned something about how the game is played from watching Nasty Pelosi operate. I remember her holding impeachment hoax one until right before the primaries started in 2020. Any impeachment passed through the House would be DOA in the dem controlled Senate anyway (same scenario (in reverse) as Impeachment hoax one, no?). The Dems used impeachment hoax one as a campaign issue not only against Trump but against the republican Senators that voted against removal. Timing is everything.
