An old saying I like is, "The best protection to reputation is to live above reproach." In other words live in such a way, that when you are portrayed in a way that run counter to your well established reputation and character, people will know it is fake.
I'm hoping the Radar Gun\Radar Detector scenario plays out here a bit. You know, where the police come up with a better radar gun, and then a better radar detector is sold. (Sadly in this case I think the same company was making both.) But what I mean specifically in this AI world is that while the Black Hats have a malevolent AI running, the White Hats have a equally powerful beneficent AI to counter bad sister. So rather than people as the main opponent, good sister will be battling bad sister. Could get interesting. If we take anything from the fantastical Star Wars saga, it is that the dark side is more powerful, but in reality we know that the greatest power lies in Truth. (That's a strange statement 'Lies in Truth'.
In the end, we who put our faith in Christ know how the story ends. As humanity intellect is feeble compared to God's, so to is the mind of any AI. A river cannot rise above it's source.
