Any data to disagree with the proposed cause of heart attacks was shelved. Data was cherry picked to show that saturated animal fat and cholesterol caused heart attacks. With the help of the AHA and the FDA the flawed recommended American food pyramid was born. As a result, heart attack rates have increased along with diabetes and a host of other food related diseases. Excess consumption of Seed oils and sugars cause atherosclerosis.
