Severe Punishment is not just about Retribution for the crime… It doesn’t bring back a Murdered Victim or Repair the life of the Child that is brutally, Sexually Assaulted.. It’s about Sparing future victims lives, either by the assailant or someone else tempted to do the same things … IT’S A DETERRENT and about FUTURE VICTIMS LIVES… And the Stronger the Deterrent, The Less Likely Someone will Commit the Same Crime !!!

My mother got cancer when I was six years old and was in the hospital most of the time until she died 5 years later.. they had 5 kids. My Dad didn’t CHOOSE to have that happen.. The hospital bill was over $200,000 . (For perspective , they paid $2500 for the house we were living in) .. I was with him when someone told him he should file bankruptcy, and his answer was “No.. It wasn’t anyone else’s fault my wife got sick” …. Like yourself, I HATE what is going on… it’s affecting us all, but this isn’t the first generation that’s had problems..
