- I realize that social media censorship has limited the avenues available to POTUS to communicate to us. But we don't need to keep saying he'll "be on NewsMax at 7 PM", "Trump is dead", etc. He has EBS when he needs to say something.
- We need to raise the quality of our journalism here on GA. Too much speculation, not enough verification. Many posts are claiming all kinds of wild crap with no "proof". NOTHING can stop what is coming. We need to let things take their course and stop trying to speculate about things that we know nothing about.

When things are fast moving, by definition, we wont have 100% perfect news.
The whole idea that information is either TRUE or FALSE is a fake narrative by fake media to make us depend on them.
You will never be able to be sure something is 100% real. Nothing in this world. During these times, its okay to share posts, as long as you include the source honestly, and let people evaluate it on their own using their own instincts.
As more things become clear, our instincts get fine tuned.

We just added two new mods from way back in the OLD days. We've been swamped, for lack of a better term, and the moderating has fallen behind. It WILL go back to being what you want ^^^ up here.

It's tough. I'm wondering how much the subscriber base has increased here in the last week.
So MANY repeat posts, low quality posts. This may be unavoidable at the moment, but with a strong influx of new peeps, it can send a shock through the posting culture.
Need a few more mods and some tough education on newbies.

Case by case. v/greatawakening had excellent quality and dealt very strongly with shill infiltration, resulting in an excellent community. Ultimately, I stopped going to QRV and v/theawakening because of the low quality there.
But I agree; low quality assessment is subjective, but a forum lives or dies based on the culture it creates.
PS. I'm not talking about bans every 5 minutes or even every hour, or day. But 12+ Vatican / Pope Arrested posts in the top 30 most recent posts is a tad too much, don't you think?
Well in my memory, the last few months on voat were practically worthless. It was good at first when I migrated from CBTS and GA on Reddit. Then it became filled with garbage. I'm already seeing a shift here, from when I moved from QRV 3 weeks ago, to a lot of infiltration.

I'm not as up to speed on mod behavior here, but I think you're exactly right to suggest depriving the inflationary posts of energy.
Amplyify/echo that which chains the narrative in productive ways (the signal), ignore the noise. Deprive it of energy and it falls to the wayside. Engage it, the negative feedback loops are strengthened.
A handy guide I posted last night:

1.Be precise with your language.
Don't take a rumor and present it as a fact.
If you're posting a rumor, make it clear to the reader that it's a rumor.
If the rumor you want to post is from some rando on social media, delete your post and give yourself several lashings.
If your rumor is from someone who has been credible in the past, note this to the reader.
Anonymously sourced stories should be taken with a huge grain of salt whether they're anti-Trump OR pro-Trump.
If someone makes a big claim (for instance, Trump buying GAB) then research that claim and try to find corroboration, ESPECIALLY when it's some social media rando making the claim. If you don't have corroboration, delete your post and give yourself several lashings.
BE RESPONSIBLE. Write your posts with the purpose of adding value to the community, not noise.

It's low effort and doesn't communicate anything other than a psychic downgrading on the material presented. If it's "old," is it upstream or downstream in the record of everyone's experience on the edge of the information wave?
As well, new people don't know what's upstream or downstream. I'm new here, but came with the purpose of expanding my thinking, gaining knowledge and clarity (and peace maybe?), and learning. All good things, IMO, but I didn't come with a good frame of reference to what has come before...
Welcome fren. All we can really do right now is amplify or echo certain messages to drive research and information collection in positive ways.
We can also increase awareness of the responsibility we have "on the edge" to help others begin to develop a chain of truth along the data stream.
We are not static anymore and like it or not this is the intersection for information at the moment. The pope thing got crazy fast but people challenged it properly and now all should be critically thinking, a bit more trained at what to look for and how to pick it apart and hold in reserve. Some of you in here are through the roof on your analytical abilities and love the documentation you do. All great to keep us xonvinced but I'll be damned if I can get a lefty to look at any of it. So thanks to all who approached h this with a Sober mind and see the shit you see. But the crazy eyed shit is gonna go on because some of the people that I see here now, they bare really new to this.

Maybe a definitions and acknowledgement page? Some assumptions being made about what people should know/understand when they're here. I still dont know what all the abbreviations and acronyms mean, and what certain site features are. I enjoy this space immensely, and find it really useful. The humor is excellent. Some veterans here getting mad at new folks over things that are not readily apparent and not everyone knows.
I appreciate the protection of the culture. Perhaps a tutorial of sorts would be helpful for everyone coming here to understand and get what clarity they can.
