The fires CA has had in recent years were mysteriously NOT caused by fireworks. They were caused by arson. Everyone saw what all the CA fireworks looked like last year - they were EVERYWHERE and yet somehow ordinary citizens managed to NOT burn down Southern California.
It does make practical sense in many areas when you consider the extreme risk of forest fires.

I don't dispute that. My only point was that it's reasonable to restrict fireworks any where near poorly managed forestry areas.
Definitely. Most of them are in suburban areas though. Mountain towns don't really do fireworks.
