I never cared for celebrity deaths. Especially as I got older and realized how fake a lot of them are. Thankfully the veil is lifting and more people are realizing that these actors are nothing more than moneys dancing a dance. Beyond that they are typically empty and hollow...
But one man was not. One man was always the real deal. If you want to educate your normie friends on why Rush Limbaugh meant so much to you, have them watch the Family Guy episode "Excellence in Broadcasting". Rush was more than a guy on the radio. He was a surrogate friend that you could pretty much count on to be on the air across the land at the exact same time Monday through Friday.
But he was so much more than just another voice on the radio. Yes he was a pioneer and more or less responsible for the modern day podcast, but the humanitarian work he did spoke volumes to his character, but I think what really touched my heart was how much he actually tried to be there for his fans. It's impossible to keep up with 30 million people, but man did he try. Every story about meeting him was apparently always positive and the man never put on an act.
Though he had a few more shows after, I felt his Christmas closer in 2020 was his "good-bye"...

I still haven't listened to his actual last show and... not sure if I ever want to, honestly. I really miss him and wish we had him. However this community has done well in honoring his legacy in that we continue to push and share information for the truth. He may have left us too soon, but he didn't leave us unprepared. Though that void in our hearts may not be fulfilled any time soon... we know one Day it will.
Listened to Limbaugh for over 30 years. Did not agree with every conclusion or course of action suggested but I stopped listening to talk radio completely after he passed. No one will ever fill those shoes again. However, in that time I always felt he was saying what he believed. Never once caught him in a contradiction or squirming around trying to gaslight listeners on prior statements. Can you think of anyone else with that level of conviction or consistency...besides Trump?
The last year he was not as hopeful as prior ones. I believe that because he finally saw how huge and deeply entrenched the conspiracy was. Whether he was read in or just came to those conclusions on his own not sure. He remained the "happy warrior" but likely knew the battle would go beyond his lifetime. That's a shame, he more than anyone built the foundation of the early small "c" conservative explosion. But, he left much wisdom to refer to. My favorite is "They always overreach and that is their undoing.". When things are too much even for Canadians you know they've truly screwed the pooch.
Edit: Are there no coincidences?
Wow. Good catch on the Bee! Whoever is doing those parodies is awesome! And Rush and team were masters at parody. What if?....
This is Rush Revere for adults if so. It would fit in his mission to open up minds up and "Illustrate the absurd with the absurd.". The Bee would be his ongoing legacy. Have to add, "If true..." but if so that will come out, eventually.
