I need something man. I despise what is going on in the world and quite honestly it gets me down a bit. I was very upset with the Sussman bs. I know God is in control but I hate seeing bad guys win.
Iโm just tired of waiting. I know we will win in the end. But having been a follower of Q since Nov 1st 2017 I have been ready since then for Justice. And the wheels of Justice are turning very slowly.
BTW it's still on my radar to get a Jaco bass at some point (the regular one not the custom shop relic'd one). Basically I have wanted a fretless for some time, and there's reasons to get Mexican over Squier, US over Mexican - at that point you're almost at Jaco so why not.
I'm kind of sidetracked by a new guitar amp which led to new guitar hence learning to deal with stupid small strings and 2 extra of them, "chords" etc.
I mean, you could get a J bass and replace the neck with a P bass neck like Jaco did.
He removed all the frets off his P bass neck and filled the gaps in, so they were similar to phantom frets.
Depending on what you're trying to do, I'd just buy a loaded J bass body off The Stratosphere or something like that. Remove the faceplate (as Jaco did). If you're not into modifying a neck, Fender does sell them fretless with phantom frets, and so does Warmoth.
Then all you would have to do is get some tuners, bolt the neck, and set up the guitar afterwards. It would probably save you some money if it's within your skill set. If the pickups arent to your liking, Seymour Duncan makes special Weather Report/Jaco pickups.
I'm just running my mouth though, I haven't looked at any prices yet.
Yep. When people talk about how often brilliant people have some bit of insanity, well it makes sense that someone that unusually brilliant would have some probably seriously weird wiring....
I believe so too. Add to that his childhood where his dad left the family while Jaco was still quite young and there's no way it didn't affect him, too.
Edit: Wow. "The people who worked on this project did it voluntarily, out of passion and love of music, and the film will in no way be monetized on the platforms, our goal being only to share with you our admiration for 'Mr Jaco Pastorius'."
What cracks me up is the meme with Alex and it says "I got 99 time signatures son but 4/4 ain't one" yet much of their yugest hit is in you-guessed it.
You seem to have an appreciation for Signals particularly. As do I, much of their stuff I am less into these days after decades of fanboidom, but Signals is still fresh and interesting. P/G to a degree as well.
this is what I listen to when I need a boost. reminds me of Q; it's been a long way/but the end will be worth it๐ bagpipes make it even better! especially since I still have hope BB is a whitehat๐บ๐ธ

Thanks for this!
The bad guys are losing in Ukraine and according to Q Ukraine controls the White House.
Seems like Ukraine complaining about not getting enough weapons from US

I you truly believe that nothing can stop what's coming and we will be victorious, then there's really nothing to be down about.
They're not winning and they know it.
They sang on Jaco Pastorius' Come On, Come Over. It's very good!
Wow. I had no clue. We learn something new everday!
I love Jaco and Weather Report, so that's really cool information! ๐
You read this?
I did not, but I do know a bit about his past. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
It's very interesting - it's a good but brutal read.

Yep I know what he did, but all that sounds like a "project" and I have plenty of those already.
I read it. He had a tragic ending to a beautifully talented life. :'(

His son, Felix, is a bass beast, too.
It's the second track on his debut album.

Man, everytime we go a little off topic, we meet more great people in our community. Gotta love it!
No shit, buncha frogs diggin' Jaco, how cool is that.

The more we all as a group can stay positive and put good vibes and energy out into universe the faster things will get better.
