Far too much doom and gloom today. They are looking at the glass as half empty and the milk is curdled. Fine. Take the day and mourn losses where appropriate. Tomorrow, get back in the fight. This is a war filled with many battles. We back up and regroup - we assess where are battle plans failed and where they succeeded and develope strategies for the next battles.
We must remember that the Dems frankly have had it on us for years organizing and playing the ground game. It is simply a fact, like it or not. We have also been lossing the cultural war for the minds of our youth who massively vote Dem and on social issues. Where is our alternative messaging to reach some of these voters?
Republicans have failed at putting forward a cohesive message to appeal to independents and moderates. I am not a fan of Gingrich, but the Contract with America was a strategy that worked. Instead, most Republicans continue to run on the platform of "I'm not the other guy, vote for me." We must do better.
I am not giving up on America. That is exactly what our opponents want. This is fifth generation psychological warfare - the battlefield is for our minds. Do not let them win. Some of these doomers, that frankly are late arriving to the party, want to now throw their hands up, go home, crawl into bed and pull the blankets up over their heads. If anything, we should be even more resolved to stand and fight. Yes, some are late to the party and are just beginning to see how this war is really fought - something those of us that are veterans to this political shit show have been sounding the alarm on for decades. But, whether you are new, or are a battle hardened veteran, we all should come to dance - and we will keep on dancing till we draw our last breath. The legacy we leave our children and grandchildren is worth fighting for.
Hang in there Patriots. This war is far from being over
