Their are blockchains that already exist that cannot add any additional "coins" into circulation. Many still think you can just fork/add additional coins, which is true for quite a few different chains, but there are ways to stop this from happening...you can turn off the money printer.
Call it a proof of concept to what Russia is doing here.
This makes sense to do this when you are talking about Gold and Silver. When you have a finite amount, that cannot be printed, and isn't the easiest to move around. It's much much easier to send it this way, and have it completely backed by a real asset, unlike fiat, which is a scam in itself in the wrong hands.
Also, there's nothing stopping (let's say President Trump for this) in creating a dollar to go along with this. Have you seen the speculation of the new dollar to come out, which would be pegged/backed by physical precious metals? This is the speculative new rainbow currency bills.
Even though this is still a floating theory, I personally do think we are making the transition to something like this. Also, don't forget, we still have not found a single new bill that was printed after 2017. Yellen's name is nowhere to be found, even though we should all be seeing it. That in itself, should make you question what's going on behind the scenes with fiat.
I love spinning 1s and 0s into silver like Im Rumpel-m'fing-stiltskin.
I just let some remote PM Exchange "deduct" some fugazi, digital "numbers" from a worthless plastic card, and they send physical assets to my front door.
I would not be using federal reserve notes for toilet paper. Both your ass and the sewer system deserve better. I wouldn't use them for burning either. Those things are a toxic nightmare.
Once the fraud is revealed we will have to figure out a way to dispose of them. Maybe we can send them all into the sun.
I'm aware and don't even necessarily support digital currency. Gold and silver is better the way I see it.
But my statement was accurate. The guy clearly doesn't know about what he's railing against, and I'd lean towards you not being much of a crypto expert either.
That's not true.

Gold and silver can be fractionalized for value same as bit coin. It is way under valued in the opinion of many.
I get great joy trading toilet paper for gold and silver.
Same here fren, same here...it's a shame my stack sank with my boat last summer ;)
Treasure hunt!
Lol, mine got spent surviving covid ;)

Its the best deal going in the world.

I'm sure Elon would be happy to oblige KEK
Wait. Am I reading this right? Toilet paper is TOXIC?
Or is that just when you burn it?
Because I can't just not shit. And I sure ain't doing what the Muslims do.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. Somehow I misread this horribly.
Federal Reserve notes are toxic, don't use them as toilet paper...
As long as it's still accepted.
Oh yeah. Ok. I was wrong.
Digitial can't be hacked.
Shit that exists just as code can't be modified maliciously.
That never has and never will happen.
And everything sold to the idiot cattle is always just as advertised, because "they said so".
Got it.
It's ok if you don't know how the tech works, but maybe don't go around acting like you do lol

if one has turned off the fork, what is the incentive for the ledger calaculations?
