OK well you got me curious. OK I'm surprised but from this article:
"The advisory panel’s ruling might soon lead to these oral products being pulled off store shelves nationwide. (Nasal sprays containing phenylephrine are unaffected by the ruling.)"
From another one(sorry about NBC, archive.is/ph/etc not working for me):
"The panel is not questioning the effectiveness of nasal spray phenylephrine, which is still thought to provide temporary relief from congestion."
So you presumably don't have to worry, at least for now.
Flonase is fluticasone propionate so might be different from what you've tried. Xlear is xylitol, I'd file it under "usually but not always" works. Not that I use these other than occasionally/when things are really stuffed up.
Thanks for the info. I have been looking for an alternative and will give what you’ve suggested a try. It would be much more convenient in life if there were an alternative. Sometimes I’ll travel to get it when it’s hard to come by (u know, the “supply chain” issue) at times.
Sure thing - if there's one thing I can't stand it's when one nostril is totally clogged but the other is flowing free, which means the body is happy with O2 level in the blood and doesn't do a damn thing to open the other nostril without taking 5 or 10 minutes of holding the good nostril shut as much as possible and breathing thru the nose exclusively at that point. "Ain't nobody got time for that."
