What a time to be alive indeed. I think the videos of the people demonstrating in the streets needs to get out to the world so that average people outside Brazil start supporting the plight of Brazilians. A Brazilian military intervention without the support of other nations, especially the United States could be risky.

Their last military coup occurred in 1964. At that time the United States was actually anti-Communist. So much has changed since then. But if the American population sees the millions of Brazilians from all walks of life begging for a military action then hopefully the American people would not support the US sending troops to quell a military action in Brazil because it would be understood by Americans that it is the will of the Brazilian people.

I speak Portuguese and have friends there. I fully believe that the people will remain in the streets and will not give up. The news of the massive demonstrations is not being covered. There are some seriously large protests. The video footage is simply astounding.
