Here is a simple question do modern day Christians follow OT laws? Do they make sacrifices and offerings? do they have a temple or a tabernacle as described in the OT? Do most of them eat pork? .....The modern day Jews who reject Yeshua literally follow a lot more of those laws than any Christians do. Catholics on the other hand have a bunch of weird rules and rituals though. Some are based on NT and OT concepts but most were just pagan syncretism and rules invented by satanic popes etc etc.

Its pretty clear to me that Matthew 24 is talking about what will "soon come to pass" in 70AD when there Romans entered the holy of holies for the first time.
"15 So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. "
This is Yehsua warning the people of Judea about 70AD and that Titus will kill everyone and enter the holy of holies. This all happened just a Yehsua predicted as detailed in Matthew 24. The Roman historian Flavius Josephus has a full account of the genocide perpetrated against the Jews in 70AD and it very closely matches Yehsua's prophecies about it.
