The main focus of the reformation was to print Bibles and let people choose between the Bible or the church, Christ or the pope. The main focus of the catholic church was to find people printing bibles and killing them.
We have examples where the priests tied the bibles around their heads at the stake. When they set fire to the wood at their feet they also lit fire to the bible to melt their face. But they realised that the people would suffocate and would die to quickly.

The argument the catholics make is the saints are alive in heaven, so we can pray to them and ask them to intercede. We still believe Christ is the only mediator but there are verses in the Bible where believers pray FOR other believers. So the saints are still alive in the body of Christ so we can pray TO them asking things just as if they are alive on earth.

Where in that passage does it say to pray to saints? It says there are saints in heaven but doesn't say pray to them
A little later the author of the article explains each sentence then jumps to the conclusion "This passage is saying that, just as Christians approach the angels, God the judge, Jesus Christ, and his saving blood, so also must we approach the saints in heaven."
No it doesn't say that! Study Heb 12:22-24 and point it out to me as I can't see it saying that.

I have just searched the Bible for every time the word 'prayer' was used and DID NOT FIND PRAYING TO SAINTS ONCE, there was prayers to God, pray for yourself, prayer for others but not prayers asking for things from the saints. ALL PRAYER IS DIRECTED TO GOD*

The author began the article saying we don't pray to idols because we know they are only made of wood and are just objects unlike those idolaters.
The hindus also know the wooden idols are worthless, many of them carved them themselves, if we ask them why are you praying to wood they will say No, we are praying to the spirits that these idols represent.
