Holy Father, today we remember how Your son Jesus begged for this cup to pass on but took it anyway when it came to Him. He has not just died for our sins, for he also has suffered far more physical and pain as any of us would. Having the crowd prefer a marauder to Him as well as having Peter denying knowing him also was more than just a bitter experience. May people always remember and praise Jesus for His sacrifice and may it inspire us to leave confort zones to the genuinely fragile ones.

Today I shall move a cubic meter of rumble which still consists of sacred relics: my farm was built 2 centuries ago from the remains of L’Abbaye de Cluny which I do not want to be disposed of during the coming repairs. Poly arthritis won’t make it easy but then I am a stubborn old school geek, so screw the momentarily discomfort away for these Holy stones belong to a construction rather than a scrap yard.
Sounds like a lot of work...pace yourself...such meaningful old relics should be saved...good thing you are a stubborn old school geek...have fun...
I did not know that you were renovating your family home? I miss out on a lot of information. You mean the beautiful stone house where you flew the drone and Anne was waving at me from the upstairs window? Lovely and quaint. Beautiful and serene. My picture of peace and happiness.
There’s an old pigsty which we want to renovate to accommodate our Swiss flat furniture when I retire, in 15 years. So, we consolidate, then isolate, then equip with utilities. Bonus item: a fallen roof will make place for a terrace from which we will be able to observe Saturn using the telescope.🤗💐
Sounds like a plan. I will wish you well for now as who knows where we'll be in 15 years. I may be with the Lord by then. George bought me a HUGE telescope one Christmas as I said I would like a (small) one to observe the stars and such, but as USUAL, he thinks the bigger the better. So then I had no where to keep it so it has been on the front deck covered with a tarp. The wind blew it over a couple weeks back and broke the view lens and the 'red' light pointer. So I don't know if it can be repaired. I barely got it out because it is so huge and my daughters first husband screwed something (can't remember what) so tight that first day of viewing that he stripped it out. So it was doomed from the get go. No complaining about a gift....but I wish it had have been one I could have brought in and out. I have always told George that I do not like HUGE things and so this Christmas he bought me a Cross necklace, but as usual, it is the MAN's necklace that hangs down low between my breasts instead of around my neck where I would prefer it. But I thanked him for it and wear it anyway. One day he will listen perhaps and realize I do not like BIG HUGE GAWKY things.

It's not that I am ungrateful. I simply like the simple things in life. Bigger does not always mean better. The telescope is so cumbersome to move because you cannot use it on the deck. You must move it to the yard. And when I do wear jewelry; (which I don't wear alot or often) I prefer mine small and not gawky thus drawing attention to it. Just call me picky. But I am grateful for whatever he or anyone gets me. It's just that I would have chosen something I could move into the house for safekeeping and be able to move it with no problem and wear it without looking like I'm trying to draw attention to myself.
