So if I violate the Ten Commandments, I’m still saved? My actions don’t matter? I don’t have to choose salvation (and by extension live according to Christ’s example)?

No true Catholic believe’s in man based salvation. We are saved by grace through faith—as a Catholic convert, this is squarely what the Church teaches. The Catholic view, however, is that our actions demonstrate our faith. I can’t run around killing people, but saying I have faith (better translated from Greek as trust). I have to live my life following Jesus and God’s laws.

Jesus did the saving, I have to accept this by living my life accordingly, otherwise I have the risk of losing Jesus’s saving grace. I do NOT save myself.

Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

Echo this as well. School comes first. If school isn’t done, you don’t get time with friends or for extracurricular activities.

Echo these suggestions. We’re going through with one of ours that we homeschool. 12 years old. Wants to negotiate the work all the time. Tough going, but the natural consequence of “school takes longer the more you complain” seems to have had an effect.

If he is Speaker and for some reason the Resident and Kameltoe are discharged from their duty (cough treason charges cough), then Trump is next in line. If it all happens on Jan 21, 2023 or later, he can still be re-elected as well.

No functioning legislative branch. The executive and judicial branches are functioning as well as last month (whatever that may mean to you). No swearings in can happen, as you note. However, arguably these representatives terms have begun pursuant to the constitution (which is a little ambiguous on this front).

I have never seen this photo of Durham. Previously it has always been the stock photo of him out front of a building with a mic in his face. Maybe he is a real person after all?
