Personally I don't let democrats define democracy any more than I let medical doctors (i.e., drug pushers) define immunity, or transvestites define gender. In fact left-wing extremists twist definitions like they twist genders.
Democracy is from the Greek demos ("people") + kratos ("power"). I know others use different definitions that anger them (it's a Republic ALSO, not instead) but I use the original definition of democracy, which goes "a system of government in which power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or through freely elected representatives".
That's American democracy as far as I'm concerned. I'm damn sure not ceding it to demon rats or their drooling, hate-filled, brainwashed voters. THEY are the threat to democracy, as Trump says—and he is the defender of it. Long may it live and inspire other societies to rise.
Using their own terminology against them and reclaiming real democracy for the side that actually cares about it, is what Trump is doing.
