"Mark-bag-o-dicks-Hammil" - thanks for this! made my night. NCSWIC!!! (I have no better reply but was hoped in to see one - I've heard all of the facts and probably a decent 40k ' view of it... but help combatting the brainwashed sheeple holding on to their media talking points regarding this one would be cool to see.
you refuse to wear a seatbelt? Am I reading that right? I'm all for questioning government in many cases - but not laws in a safety case like this. You can argue it all you want, but seat belts save lives. Many lives as many people drive poorly. And with that its a numbers thing... so society has accepted a law that saves lives if everyone follows it, even if not everyone is smart enough to just wear a seatbelt without a law and a fine compelling them to do so. Oh wait... yours must have been sarcasm? apologies if it was and I missed it... otherwise, just buckle-up. NCSWIC!
Despite anyone’s opinion of the performance (personally I see nothing “sexual” about the Vegas performance )of this acrobatic sword swollower at a men’s retreat; itwas not at a Sunday church service. The pastor handled it wrong and I agree that he was reprimanded for how he handled his distaste of the performance. NCSWIC!
Per NASA this is only 3.78cm per year and has a very slightly elliptical orbit. It can be calculated out exactly when there will be no more total eclipses seen on earth... this is going to be in 563 million years. Its rate of moving away is also slowing down... in like15 billion years it will no longer be moving away. But we will be swallowed up by our sun expanding in about 6-7 billion years... so we're married tot he moon and to total eclipses for quite a while longer than a few hundred years. Fun stuff though. (I did not downvote you)
This is not correct. Most of the moon is dark except for a small sliver... but even then you don't see the moon often at all during the day when it is just in the general vicinity of the sun... because the sky itself is too light to see any other light outside getting in... same reason you don't see stars during the day but they're there just the same.
https://files.catbox.moe/sm4q95.png clouds were wispy for both of us and both had basically clear skies when it took place. Had another pal down in Mexico and we were all chatting being along the same path and all. Wonderful thing to see.
Pictures from pal in Canada, but I saw basically the same thing in central TX https://files.catbox.moe/deeybh.png https://files.catbox.moe/kpudp5.png https://files.catbox.moe/sits43.png

(ya, I went to college) NCSWIC!
I like the community note about ScienceAlert in general... This is not a scientific journal and instead just has free-lance "science journalists" trying to drum up excitement about things that just aren't that exciting without years of background in the field. They just aren't that credible in my opinion. Regardless... NCSWIC!
I can't be the only one that just enjoyed the poop out of reading that. Thanks for the share, fren. NCSWIC!!!
