Your post embodies the struggle I think I can safely say we all have been dealing with over the years. State what we believe, have it taken out of context, get attacked, labeled, and your reputation destroyed. All without a chance to give a explanation or personal experience. Not that it would matter. So, we learn to tiptoe around individuals in our life that do not agree with us, all to be safe in our relationships. Personally, those types relationships- I’ve left at surface level. If they can’t, in the cool light of reason, discuss a topic, it’s not worth the emotional stress that follows. Always will I be friendly and loving to those with differing opinions. I pray my loved ones could look at these topics reasonably. But I mean, yeah.... if all this stuff happens.... I doubt those individuals will be who I’m trying to contact. Although, I don’t think I could ever simply cut them out.
