I think we a have a 1st amendment that would interfere is the abolishing of teaching this crap. the government and school board probably cannot make it compulsory to teach it, but it's probably illegal to ban it. (other than the overtly sexual side of it, porn books in the libraries etc) Courts in the past have had to rule on teaching creationism in school and found teachers could not be forced to teach it, but couldn't be banned from doing so either.
