This was what I started asking myself, and honestly the Ukraine conflict has opened my eyes about labels such as Nazis.
"Nazi" is just a label, nothing more. I know, a lot of people here know the true history of WW2 (or at least believe they know it) and consider nazis as a purely benign nationalist force that was falsely smeared. Thats not what we are seeing here.
In the current situation, the Ukrainian Neo-Nazis are a creation of CIA/KM into just a hateful people who abuse and kill ethnic-Russians and Christians. Yeah, the exact opposite of what we believe Nazis in WW2 were. Dont let the labels mislead you. And just like Antifa, they are also enforcement arm against anyone who does not go along with this government.
This is also the reason why Putin has promised that in August there will be world's first Anti-Fascist conference. Its going to be very different from what people expect from "fascist" or "anti-fascist" and I expect it to be a red-pill, while also exposing a lot of truth about the history - WW2 fascism.
There was a video here of what these nazis do to Christans. It was very horrific, they basically crucified him and I couldnt even watch the whole video. If you really want, you can try looking it up.
This is probably required to make the redpill effective. The more they hate Russia, the harder it hits them when they hear the truth.
Just like Trump, Putin is immune to smears.
