It's kind of a win-win.
If Trump wins at SCOTUS, presumably the trial is over and he's not burdened by court appearances in the middle of a campaign.
If he loses, it opens up the precedent of holding prior Presidents accountable for decisions they made in office. Not sure Joe and Barrry really want to go down that road...
Exactly. I totally agree.
I agree. In my opinion, it’s a win-win even if he loses, because there is a lot more baggage that they will be prosecuted for, other than documents.
I don't think the court appearances are any sort of burden on DJT re: his campaign. It has been said by some very smart people, the cases ARE his campaign. The more he is attacked, and has to appear in court, etc, the more Americans realize they need to stand with Trump, even if they do not like him, because the Establishment is far more corrupt and rotten than they thought.
But the strings are pulled at a higher DS level. I don't believe they care about BHO and Resident falling under the bus if this could snag the big Trump fish.
Think, if Woodrow Wilson said this over a hundred years ago, how massive, entrenched, is that invisible power is today.
I have always been against blanket immunity. Against it for Clinton, Bush, and Obama.
I only mention these 3 because of the known crimes they committed.
So naturally I was against it for any President, even Trump.
But now? After Russia Russia Russia. Where they tried to frame him for treason. Had they succeeded, would they have stopped before he was executed? I don't believe so.
Because of this, I am conflicted. No one should be able to commit crimes without fear of justice. But a U.S. President must not be under thread of a frame up.
This is not about just President Trump. He is just the first they have tried to frame and use the full force of government to destroy.
