I've learned way more about human psychology than I ever wanted to throughout all this. 80% of people are easily brainwashed and go along with the majority rather than thinking for themselves. One of the most shocking things I learned was the fact that people with very high IQs are actually MORE susceptible to brainwashing. I'm guessing it has something to do with being know-it-alls and wanting to be the first to have all the "facts". I also trust my own intelligence more now.

What is the advantage of having a ‘temp’ (‘ACTING’) in a leadership position? Interim leaders don't have to make everyone like them, because they are not worried about keeping their position.

That was the January 12, 2021 speech in Alamo at the border wall. "The 25th amendment is of zero risk to me but will come back to haunt Joe Biden and the Biden administration."

It could be that he sometimes has makeup on his hands for a photo. Now if one day he has no hair on his hands, and the next day, before it would have had time to re-grow, he has hairy hands, that is significant. I would not go by the skin color, though. They probably do all sorts of makeup stuff to make him look less feeble.

And after Julius Caesar, Roman emperors used "Caesar" as a title. People are mixing up the title of the office with Julius Caesar.

I made my own lip balm by heating and mixing coconut oil and beeswax in approximately equal amounts. It works better than any brand I have tried, and one batch has lasted years.

I searched for "drunk" and "drunkenness" in the NASB version.

I don't know that the Bible discourages alcohol consumption altogether, but it does say that you should not be drunk. The words translated "wine" in the Bible sometimes referred to unfermented grape juice as well as the fermented variety. Also they drank watered-down wine. So the Bible is not always referring to a beverage with significant amounts of alcohol when people are drinking wine.

A quick search for "drunk" and "drunkenness" in the NASB:

Pro 23:31-32  Do not look at wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, When it goes down smoothly;  (32)  In the end it bites like a snake And stings like a viper. (The Hebrew word translated as "wine" can also refer to unfermented grape juice, so this is specifically cautioning against overindulging in the fermented "sparkling" variety)

1Co 5:11  But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person.

Eph 5:18  And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Luk 21:34  “But be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap;

Rom 13:13  Let’s behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy.

Gal 5:21  envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

1Pe 4:3  For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries.

For now I am still believing the theory that she has Parkinson's. It can cause a swallowing problem that makes her aspirate saliva. Think about how you cough uncontrollably just like that when you accidentally breathe in some water.

The idea that "Jesus died for our sins" was so nonsensical to me it kept me from considering Christianity for 40 years. Christians generally don't explain this well.

darkwinter_'s explanation is good, but I would like to add my perspective.

The spilling of Jesus's blood established a new covenant so we could be cleansed of sins through joining with the spirit of Christ rather than sacrificing animals ourselves (which was not working so well). God uses blood to establish covenants (this idea took a while for me to get used to, but God makes the rules).

God is a three part being (Godhead, Holy Spirit, Christ). Holy Spirit teaches and comforts us. Christ is the mediator. When we join with him he connects us to the heavenly realm we could not enter otherwise because of our sins.

Jesus Christ has a way of cleansing us of sin when we confess our sins to him, repent for them, ask him to take them from us, and thank him. I have felt this happen and change my life, so I can assure you it is not just a theory or weird religious belief.

I would suggest starting with the new testament. A couple of days into reading it, I was contemplating how I could use the words of Jesus to be a better person and help people, and I felt the Holy Spirit come over me.

Also look for other resources to help you understand the Bible. Be careful of what you listen to, though. Much of mainstream Christianity has been corrupted by the enemy (just like politics has). I'm reading "Intercessory Prayer" by Dutch Sheets right now, and I highly recommend it.

A couple of years ago I tried reading the Bible from the beginning and got so depressed I had to quit. You need some perspective to get through the old testament and you need to know that we are now operating on a new, better covenant than those before Christ, so you don't get depressed reading about all of the genocide, slavery, etc.
