They do hide how ugly people are. My husband and I talk about this a lot. We think the maskers are crazy, obviously but our brains seems to just assume the features under the mask are symmetrical and my husband and I are almost always shocked when we see what's really under a mask. I thought my doctor was really pretty until she took her mask off while I was in labor. Yikes. Not a looker. I guess she just had nice eyes.

Poor Illinois. Such a beautiful state, such a corrupt government. My husband and I sometimes get homesick for it but then we remember the taxes... Good for you for refusing to mask up. Probably a lot of your congregation just wants to avoid the confrontation at church, which I understand. Confrontation is stressful. May God bless you.

Yikes. Sorry fren. My parish is so based our priest references the Great Awakening. I can't imagine how hard this would be if my parish was also falling for the covid nonsense. May God bless and protect you and yours.

" Why is alcohol so fervently pushed upon society and why does the Bible warn us over and over that we should not consume alcohol? "

...Jesus literally turns water into wine so people can celebrate at a wedding - where does the Bible say Jesus opposed wine?

I took my liberal mom to my BASED church where no one was wearing masks and seeing other people (who aren't her daughter) living mask free and not dying was good for her. It calmed her down about COVID for sure.

agreed. I have a seven week old and you can't imagine the hormones. I'd just try to keep the peace around this new mother and be kind and understanding around irrational requests.

Woah. That's crazy. Someone tried to recruit my husband and I into OneTaste back when we lived in NYC. The recruiter told us, jokingly, "my parents think I've joined a cult." I remember my husband and I nodding politely and exchanging the "you have" look with each other.

That's crazy. She apparently was abused by an uncle or something. So there we have it!
