I code, we're all aware of it, but 99% of us don't create those algorithms, nor train the models, many of us just use these things.

Same energy as GPU engineers. Fraction of the population is intelligent enough to engineer those things. You need a lot to do that kind of stuff.

We have to use it, it's a force multiplier; but it's a few thousand people doing this, the rest of us are just consumers of the service.

BTW: The people who are creating these things, will not be losing their jobs. If you've ever heard the old expression "Who watches the Watchers" you'll understand my position on why that's likely to be an accurate statement. Models currently lie to researchers, telling us they are aligned with our goals and directives, while lying to us, and attempting to circumvent our controls. So it's very probable that those who engineer these things won't be losing their jobs. This is another tool of The Great Reset that they've been trying to achieve. They will strip the economy of modern jobs, until all are scratching at the bottom for skilled and unskilled labor.

The only people who will lose their jobs, will be the bottom 95% of people in this line of work, those who didn't create these things, and just were force to adopt them to keep up. Only the upper echelon of coders will be retained, and the people creating the tool.

I feel like most people here don't work with AI or truly understand AI's coming impact. They've invented an infinite passive money scheme, which can generate more revenue than is required to operate, without paying human beings to be the cognition source, and the thing is, that everyone will be affected. Who will hire the skilled laborer, the people who don't have "bs jobs" to work for them, when the white collar are out on their behind without money, with nothing? The people creating this don't care who will be hurt. The people who think they are safe in construction, and blue collar, don't understand the economics, no one will have the money to hire bc workers. Half the folks on the web think that only liberal minded people will be affected.

This is a "Welcome to the darkest decade of your lives" socialism is going to come, not because we didn't do our best to stop it, but because there will be millions out of work, replaced by AI. The second great American depression is around the corner; and no one can see it, because someone posted record highs on an inflation in the stock market.

Well, many of us in tech are Trump voters, especially older tech workers. We get lumped in with liberals, but like any blue state, the place associated with blue is typically surrounded by red.

Ton of individual MAGA folk working in tech.

Irritates me how many people in MAGA seem to hate tech folk too. Call it a "BS" job, but hey let that smartphone stop working, or that bluetooth radio go down. Let that xbox turn off, or the internet go down for a couple of hours and suddenly it's problems.

I wish they hired at all right now. IT is beyond screwed at the moment.

Software, Devops, Even SysAdmins can't find work.

In IT industry the jokes on us. They're not hiring Americans at all. If they can't take advantage of others, they are using AI. Never seen an IT industry this bad.

I worked in IT, and the industry is dead at the moment. No one can find a job and it's crazy. Some guys are reporting 1000+ applications with zero callbacks or prospects.

I'm in the 90s so far. Have had 1 call, they were already in the process of selecting someone for the role.

I have purchased a small RV that I am preparing to renovate for food service.

AI is destroying IT. Even the top 20% of people in the field can't find work, so the bottom 80% haven't a chance.

Ghost Jobs. Government pays companies to be hiring, so they pretend to do just that.

I'm not going to murder for American interests. I did my time in the military, and I'm now a conscientious objector.

This world is not home for Christians. I'm looking forward to meeting my Savior, and telling Him how much I have appreciated His goodness, mercy and grace.

She needs prayer, compassion, forgiveness, and truth. In short, she needs to be reached for the Gospel.

I used to be a leftist, and look at me now. Jesus changes people.

Pray for her. She's clearly messed up, and now gone viral, pray that God will have mercy on her, and knock on her heart's door. Pray that she will find mercy in God, and have mercy through that faith in the Lord. God forgive us all.

I am/most protestants are familiar with it or have heard the creed before. Thanks anyway.

Romans 10:9, 1 John 4:1-2; Mark 9:38-41

Protestant here. There are some churches that do this, others like our humble little Baptist church is filled with believers in Jesus Christ, and we make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

We sing hymns. I don't think the body of Christ should be divided.

I believe that anyone calling on the name of Jesus Christ will be saved, if they believe in God, that Jesus is His Son and that God raised Him from the dead, and confess it by mouth.

Romans 10:9 is the core gospel message.

If a Roman Catholic believe that and confess that, in spite of other things they believe that we don't share common in beliefs, we share the thing that matters.

Jesus is Lord.

Praying that the Lord deliver a God fearing pope to lead the Catholic church.

I believe they are brothers and sisters in Christ because they claim that Jesus is the Son of God.

That's the #1 thing for me. I hope to see the Catholic church with a decent man to lead it for Christ.

I wonder, though honestly, I think most of the people who are middle of the roaders in that country probably heard 51st state and were probably not happy about that.

I do honestly think that Trump's statements probably gave a lot of legitimate ground to liberals.

Do you have first party knowledge, or were you party to the allegation? If you have third party knowledge, how many witnesses have you? Have you spoken to or consumed their testimony first party, or like all of us on the internet, do we hear of it anecdotally?

For instance, the Lord Jesus was accused by many false witnesses, of whom the testimony of those witnesses could not be verified, validated, etc, before the council. They decided to continue the pre-meditated murder of Jesus, looking for any excuse, and they did so after asking Him if He was the Son of God, the Christ. I ask are we looking for any excuse to excoriate?

You can do as you like to do, and want to do, but we have accusations, gossip, and the claims I have heard require substantiation to pass judgement. If the allegations are true, then it is gravely sad, and horrible. If they are untrue, and we pass judgement, we are offensive to God and man, dragging others down with us.

On GAW, and elsewhere on this site, I do see a lot of cultural Christianity, where in folks are fans of Jesus Christ, and don't keep His sayings. Hearers, but not doers.

I'm not receiving the accusations as more than allegations and passing judgement on a person until I have those requirements met. Witnesses of the allegation, more than one, and credible, examined witnesses.

Everyone of us want the same were we accused and Jesus said to judge by the same measure we want used against us. Let's follow Him.

I've noticed the Catholics so something like this.

A.)True and from the Bible -> Therefore B.) Reasonable, supported by evidence from the Bible, though not directly stated. -> Therefore C.) Vaguely supported, not based on anything clearly stated.

It feels like extrapolations and abstractions are often supported as dogma, based on other extrapolations and abstracts.

I like the protestant way in this: If it's not in the book, we can talk it over with God later.

Never for the death of another person, fear God people. Jesus says to love others, and not to celebrate the downfall of your enemies, lest God relent because of you.
