I think this is a fair question. Skepticism is a necessity, especially in these times of propaganda and pysop conditioning. I also think Q encourages questions and skepticism. The drops are almost always in the form of questions that require readers to go out and find the answers for themselves and to then draw their own educated conclusions based on those answers.
I am not a Q expert by any means, and I don't necessarily believe every single thing I see attributed to Q. Having said that, here is my (very humble) take on what 'trust the plan' means in relationship to your question.
To me, 'trust the plan' doesn't mean to sit back and wait for Q and mysterious 'others' to fight for our freedoms and the continued existence of our democratic republic. Instead, it means for us to step up and fight the good fight and to not let the false narrative of the left undermine our determination or our willingness to take action.
It means to spread the word in any ways we have available to us so that others who wish to fight know they are not alone and Biden stealing this election is not, in fact, a foregone conclusion. We, meaning any and all citizens of the United States, are under attack. This is war and the battles have already begun. We cannot sit back and expect others to fight while we wait and do nothing.
This is what I believe Q means by 'trust the plan'. We should all be fighting. But we are not alone in that fight. There is strength in numbers, and in the knowledge that so many of us are fighting together, at all levels.

Very well stated!
Thank you. Good for us all to help each other stay focused.
