Some anons are crazy good at figuring out clues and connecting the dots. That's not me. I'm better at seeing patterns where there's not much to go on.
The Q team, being limited by government regs, has to be careful in what they reveal - no classified information, or in some cases, information that isn't already public. But they could play little games, like cold, cool, warm, hot, etc, and steer anons towards the truth.
I think there were times the Q team knew something, and wanted more public intel about it, and the anons were quite good at scouring the net to find it. Which lead to more public exposure.
