Yeah. Not every problem is a DDOS attack (non-technical people love to spray that term at every opportunity because it is the only one they have heard of).
They have had a lot of growing pains due to their architecture and code not being able to handle their growth. Hopefully they will have more and more of that under control over time.

I've gotten into the habit of pasting comments to a backup text editor before saving, just in case.. since a lot of posting seems to fail at the first attempt to submit them also. Not certain this is a load issue but that's probably the most likely explanation.
