I'm thinking 10 days of darkness might refer to different nations losing massive amount of power. So far I know its happened in Mexico and Pakistan. The Vatican I havent read enough to verify it myself yet. But maybe the 10 Days of darkness dont refer to a loss of comms, but to massive losses of electrical power?

Vatican wasnt a power loss, one camera want out and the other had a filter put on it or the ISO was lowered...
Paris I've read has regular Power cuts in the late hours of the night to "Conserve energy", which I guess could be an explanation...
Pakistan is the only one I cant find any info on... Even if you proxy there their news doesn't even mention it...
