I’ve know about it for a long time, but I never really got around to looking into it. I could be wrong, but my understanding is basically that Q is trying to help the public & spread awareness about some really bad people who are doing some terrible things in hopes that they can put a stop to it. Now all of the sudden I’m seeing a number of Trump supporters talk bad and even being mad at Q. I’m just curious what Q really is and why some Trump supporters are mad at them now.

The blow back against Q is the mantra of "Trust the Plan" the sentiment is seen as a slogan created to passify its followers into culture war capitulation.
So like how communists trained us into accepting logical fallacies through the public education system such as dismissing God and the bible because of creationism's conflict with evolution, this one notion of the movement is enough to dismiss the whole movement itself. Compounded with the coded messages being beyond grasp of most people also aids to its dismissal.
In terms of binary win lose tribalism, particularly those who are at the end of their ropes who need restitution from what these criminals have done, being complacent throws them under the bus and into deeper depths of poverty to the point where they will no longer be able to form any kind of resistance at all.
The movement is in its last days to show results, there's increasingly more people who don't enough resources left to "Trust the plan" for much longer.
