I just got a call from one of my oldest friends (20+ years). He works for the DOD and just receive a signed letter by all DOD figureheads stating Biden will be inaugurated on January 20th. He's not a high level person (that I'm aware of) and said everyone who works for the DOD received the letter.
- is it normal to send a letter like this DOD-wide before each inauguration?
- is a sign of the end or a distraction?
Edit: sounds like the letters are not normal. It's been a shit show of an election, so there's that, but the more I think about it, what better way to convince normies that the inauguration is on and legit than to send out a letter.
It's a sign of nothing.
All should appear normal so just keeping that going would mean that... yada, yada, yada.
That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm hoping someone with some time in at the DOD sees this and can confirm this type of letter is SOP every four years.
I have worked for the DOD during presidential transitions and I do not remember receiving specific emails informing us who won and to accept it.
Huh.. I guess everything is a tad out of whack this year so maybe some false reassurance is warranted. Appreciate the response!
