Not trying to have a big rush to "it's happening" but this is unusual. I am in WA state near the Bangor Undersea Warfare station and Whidby Island (west of the Puget Sound) weather is mild about 50 degrees, no wind or ice, just light rain. My power has been out for over 2 hours and when just checking the outage map, I see that in the last hour nearly the whole county is has gone out. Power outages are common here due to wind, trees going down and things like that but given the mild conditions and the heightened awareness, I just wanted to comment on it. Any other outages around the country right now?
Edit: Power back on after 4 hour outage.
I'm working tonight. The power has been flickering because of heavy rainfall and wind, but no outages that I can see.
I am told the power has been out at home for about the timeframe you have suggested, though. Usually they get it back on pretty quickly since we live right by the base.
Same here, we are on a line that serves a federal building and it usually comes back pretty quick. We had heavy rain earlier in the week but pretty mild rain today - I get local alerts on tree/road issues from EMS but have received none of those. I guess we will wait it out.
As a fellow Washingtonian, woul it be a bad thing to hope that when the power comes back on that Jay Inslee would be gone?
Haha, god wouldn't that be nice? Especially after he unveiled his new-and-improved Covid plan the other day that offered no real path to reopening anything.
Hopefully that chopper that rescued him from the protestors at his mansion took him for a ride across the ocean.
I know! Going to Costco or Walmart ok and ordering take out ok but no eating or drinking in a restaurant and God forbid you are caught outside without a mask. Dont even get me started - oops too late.
Power just came back at our place. How about you, friend?
Fuck that. I haven’t worn a mask yet except for a doctor’s appointment.
