I know the main assumption has been that Trump is going to do it, but if Pompeo becomes acting president, wouldn't he be the one to do it?

Pompeo President, Trump VP, after all the tribunals are over Pompeo resigns Trump takes over as acting President then in 2024 runs again as President since he took over the job from Pompeo then 2024 would be his official Second term.

I think Pompeo is going to be commander in chief for a while, but I didn’t even think of the VP switch,

Trump spent a lot of trolling time about Trump 2024, 2028, 2032...
