Those bloodlines(families) needed to be as perfect as they could possibly be, which meant at times not taking a wife that could throw that off. See Judah, Tamar And Shelah. And those were things reserved for the people of that time. Those things are written for our learning. Jesus already perfected humankind. We can't screw it up anymore than we already have.
