What Trump did was unprecedented in that he actually worked for the benefit of the people of America. He looked and realized that the people were being taken advantage of through wars, strife, and local propaganda attacks by our own intelligence agencies. Although America was technically taken over in 1918 or so, it was consolidated from Bush to Obama. Trump upended that. Removed us from conflict with other nations, and looked to make deals that were win win for everyone involved. Of course the oligarchs hate him.
