There's a "non profit" in pedowood who's openly stated purpose is to do exactly that. Trying to remember the name. They give "ideas" to show and movie writers based on currently classified government programs. It serves two purposes:

Hide the truth in plane sight: "Dude you've been watching too much tv if you really think the NSA is using a super computer to log everything everyone says or does. Person of Interest is just a show!"
Dull peoples responses when the program is inevitably made public: "Man, that PRISM stuff? That's really creepy, right? But, it's not like we didn't already know the government was doing that."

Just about to start season 5 with my wife. They basically "predict" everything about the DS and and Big Tech. Fringe is next up but I'm not sure if my wife is quite ready for that level of weird yet.

Dollhouse is an interesting one too with current events. It takes un-personing a bit farther than even the DS could hope to achieve though.
