No military pilot would ever refer to his frame as a "chopper" fyi. It's a helo or a helicopter. "Bird" perhaps. I had a late friend of my dad's who flew one drill this into me when I was young. Lol.
One of those things that really irks me, like news clowns referring to police as "cops" in a formal setting.
I love finding out things like this. I’m an interior designer. A real designer wouldn’t be caught dead referring to a sofa as a couch. This was drilled into my head by the head of our design department over and over. Now the word feels like nail on chalkboards to me when I hear it.
