Mask dehumanizes people and is the perfect psychological warfare tactic. When children grow up in a environment where they can’t see human emotion and facial expressions it damages them psychologically. I hate talking to someone that has a mask on. It just feels off not seeing them smile, laugh, frown, etc. like I’m talking to a robot.
This has been a crime done on the children and teens and young adults. Well, all people actually. And seniors, locking them up in solitary confinement is TORTURE, is it not?
You are right, dehumanization. Also the social distancing. We need to feel accepted by people. When every one is shirking back, trying to stay out of everyone's way, the sub-conscience recognized this as rejection. And not allowed to touch, shake hands, pat shoulders, hug. I was at a hospital picking someone up and noticed stickers everywhere saying No Hugs. That hit me so hard...when you are in a hospital is one of the times you probably really, really, really need a hug.
Not allowed to work to support your family. Not allowed to gather with friends. Not allowed to have funerals, weddings, graduations, visit the sick or the elderly. Mothers being separated from their newborn infants. Husband separated from wives. Kids separated from their teachers and classmates. Not allowed to go to church to worship...then begrudgingly allowed to go (after Trump made a stink about it) but not allowed to sing.
I have a history of not trusting people, and when I see all the faces with masks, I get that powerful anxious feeling of danger, since I can't read expressions. I want to scream out, Take Off the Masks!! but then I'd be called the crazy one. Wearing cloth and paper masks that have no ability to avoid a virus is "virtue and loving" but worrying about the damage it causes is "hateful, selfish and evil."
Ha...don't get me started. I hate the masks.
