FYI... this one's not a real Q proof. It was year of the championship and the other former presidents also received jerseys corresponding to the championship year

The 16th President was Lincoln. Perhaps it was already his assassination that ended the Original Republic?

Even better, the 17th president was Andrew johnson. He was Lincolns VP and became president when Lincoln was assassinated.

Johnson was impeached for "high crimes and misdemeanors" for going up against the establishment at that time, but they fell one vote shy of conviction.

There are a lot of intriguing tidbits in his story...
