This is why I think we need to change the way we speak about it. When they ‘see the light’ we need to help them unite with good, rather than focus on our differences (assuming they’re Patriots, just blinded).
I appreciate your wanting to see the best in people.
Realize some people just want to be victims, some people want to live in their ignorance and feelings, some people want to watch the world burn while pouring gas on the fire. They may not be globalists, but they aren't patriots either. Left is a spectrum of thinking.
I'll use the analogy of the brain. The hemispheres are divided in 2. Both have purpose and create different perspectives. Too much of 1 or the other creates "imbalance." While the left hemisphere is used as the logic center/analysis/math and science/details....The right hemisphere is used as the emotion/intuition/spirituality/creativity/beliefs/big picture thinking. Both are critical for WHOLE brain processing in a balanced person. I'm sure you can recall people who only use half their brain on either hemisphere as problematic for society.
That is definitely true of many. My point is that we need to be more clear in the distinction: many in the ‘left’ camp are good, many in the ‘right’ camp are pure evil. We can’t use that distinction anymore because it doesn’t reflect reality.
Yes, most people just want to live their lives and keep their families safe. It's clear to me that people on both "left" and "right" have their blind spots. I think a little opposition is healthy in a republic because you are motivated to point out the flaws in the other side's reasoning, ideally reaching more robust solutions.
It beats being a one party state like China, where only the Communists can be right.
I get it. But most of the liberals I know aren't 'Globalists', they're just stupid.
