Think of the internet as a 'web' of interconnected nodes, and their servers are spread all over that web and act as a mask for protected hosts.
In a nutshell, if someone had a botnet powerful enough to take down cloudflare, they'd have to take down every major router all over the place along the way.

The real problem is if Cloudflare wants to deplatform you, then it's actually pretty hard to recover your site
I figured if cloudflare is somehow in on the deep state thing, then what would the good guys have to do to counter them.
Stop using Cloudflare for starters. Trust no one
