I mean if the idea is to create illusion, this would be the perfect time to dump transponder and go somewhere else. Stop in some unknown location to hop on another aircraft and go somewhere totally different while sending AF1 on its way to keep up appearances.

Hell, he may even bug out Tuesday night and then send AF1 down to Florida on Wednesday afternoon...empty.
