Maybe attitude change, however, the base is actually 5-10 miles north of that. The change in color happened on Topsail which is just a regular NC beach.

There are some firing ranges north of Holly Ridge on US17, but thats all they are, firing ranges and fields. If you look where the road ends at North TopSail, go about a quarter of the map to the right and that is where Camp Lejeune starts.
