Confirmed with military buddy that the Marine's failure to salute would get them a letter of reprimand, a demotion with pay cut, and kicked off the honor guard. their next assignment would be a shitty one. This is not something to be taken lightly.

They don't salute uncovered (without a hat). Army and other branches will salute uncovered. The absence of a salute was a total disrespect (I wouldn't have saluted the motherfucker either, BTW).
