I believe a main objective was to keep anyone from seeing WHAT WAS NOT HAPPENING THERE. The inauguration. Obviously they are there for multiple reasons but I believe this one is overlooked.

But multiple dc reporters recorded what was happening there. Like prosobec . Unless you think they looped in that guy. They didn't.
