Aren't you forgetting that there was a change of administrations from the time the NG was ordered in to the time they were abandoned? The Dems accused Trump of fomenting a riot, so Trump gave them overweening security at the Capitol. Now it's up to the Dems to provide care for that security and they are the ones who banish them to a parking garage. Which side, do you suppose, quite likely views the NG as its jailers?
