can be for many reasons... to protect innocents.... white collar fraud for example could ruin someone before the case is heard... divorce... keep the kids out of it... many reasons for privacy..... not all todo with political corruption.....

Innocent people are sometimes publicly prosecuted based solely on the accusations. Think accused child molester who is actually innocent.
